WOOF WOOF RUN/WALK FOR PET CANCER

On November 2, 2013, 98.7 The River joined with TailsSpin, Blue Buffalo and Bayer for the first-ever Woof Woof 5k Run and Walk to raise awareness of pet cancer. It was also a chance to break the Guiness Book of World Records for the most costumed dogs in one parade. Here are the pictures of our costumed dogs. Enjoy!!

The event took place across from Habersham Village near Jacob G. Smith Elementary.
  •
There were memorial lanterns sold for pet lovers to either honor a pet who has passed from cancer or who is a cancer survivor.
  •
    The costumes were amazing.
  •
Lots of good natured pets, and proud parents.
  •
    Cute.

Michael Empric, from The Guiness Book of World Records in New York, officiated. We had to have more than 337 costumed pets but we fell a little short. It gave us the boost we needed to break the record next year. But everyone had a wonderful time. We were proud to be one of the sponsors of this great family event!
