    Dad's curious too.
  •
Autumn got a bag of toys that one of our listeners bought for her.

    This is Gabby's dad Jerry.
  •
Gabby is a 9 year old Down Syndrome child battling leukemia. She couldn't be there...she was out caroling with her school mates!
  •
So Jerry accepted a Christmas stocking made for them by Shari Hendricks.
  •
Gabby's parents asked for the chance to enjoy a nice family meal, so we got them a $150 gift certificate to Carrabbas.
  •
She also asked for a bike...and we bought it for her.
  •
And the elves at Great Dane, who adopted Gabby's family, bought her other Christmas Wish: a huge doll house (which dad will have to assemble!).
  •
There is also a $450 Visa Gift Card to buy whatever else the family needs. Jerry begins to sob.
  •
    Merry Christmas!

  •
While we met with the families privately to surprise them with your donations...

  •
    ...and his beautiful Cockatoo Bella...
  •
...who talked up a storm (and tried to steal my glasses!
  •
  •
Becky took a particular liking to Bella (or was it the other way around?)
  •
Cody won one of Magic Marc's books...
  •
  •
    which he gladly autographed.
  •
We're waiting for the next family to come in...

They have downsized their home so we got them $200 for Pier One Imports to make their house more comfy.
  •
They have no computer so her daughter has to go to the library to do her homework. Brian Blount of Hilton Head IT bought her a laptop!
  •
    The family cannot believe it.
  •
They also have no television set.
  •
We also got them $300 in Walmart gift cards for food, gas, and toys.
  •
  •
A $500 Visa gift card which they can use anywhere.
  •
    And about that TV...

I don't usually see men cry...but as he shook my hand, Sgt. Skinner had tears in his eyes.
  •
Meet Glenda. Breast Cancer, and two children ages 5 and 7.
  •
Glenda needed a new coat so we got her a gift card to Burlington.
  •
Her nurse said she needed glasses but she couldn't afford them.
  •
    But this is Christmas WISH.
  •
Dr. DeSario at Georgia Eye donated an complete eye exam...and a new pair of glasses.
  •
Sarah bought all kinds of gifts for the kids...

...including the baseball glove Kaleb wanted.
  •
And a bike for Kayla along with a $500 Visa gift card so Glenda could get whatever else she needed.

    Merry Christmas.
  •
    This is Khe'mari.
  •
He is just four and has cancer.
  •
    You couldn't tell.
  •
  •
    He's a huge Spiderman fan.
  •
  •
We got him some toys that he'll enjoy.
  •
He didn't want to wait til he got home.
  •
There's also money to go shopping at Toys R Us for his brother and baby sister who needs baby clothes.
  •
  •
He loves candy. LOVES candy. He was fixated on a box of candy canes.
  •
We also gave his family Walmart gift cards and surprised them with a $500 Visa gift card to shop for toys food and clothing.
  •
    Merry Christmas.
  •
  •
Becky has cancer for the third time.
  •
She says the hardest part is accepting people's help. She's a giver.
  •
She wanted to keep Christmas special for her son so she put an Xbox on layaway
  •
and she prayed the money would come.
  •
It did. We got it for her! And...
  •
...a gift card to Game Stop for her son which he quickly grabbed from mom's hand!
  •
We had a listener donate a night's stay at the Mansion On Forsyth with breakfast...
  •
...and we gave it to Becky.
  •
There were Burlington gift cards so she could get new clothes since she'd lost so much weight from her cancer treatment and her diabetes.
  •
    Ever the kidder.
  •
There was Walmart and a $500 Visa Gift card which touched her deeply.
  •
    Merry Christmas.
  •
Bryce is a 23 year old active duty soldier.
  •
She returned from Afghanistan, had a baby and was diagnosed with breast cancer. At 23. She put off the surgery because more imporantly she wanted to hold her baby.
  •
She needed a chance to be pampered after all she's been through...
  •
...so Therapeutic Embrace in Rincon donated a head to toe treatment for her...and her husband!
  •
With a four month old she needed baby things--clothes, diapers--so a gift card to Toys R Us seemed appropriate where she could get those things.
  •
Then there were the Walmart gift cards and enough for Burlington Coat Factory where she can get clothes and a coat for herself.
  •
    Mom cannot believe this.
  •
Did we mention she also got $600 in Visa gift cards to spend wherever she wants on whatever she wants?
  •
  •
She finally let loose. It was all too much.
  •
    Merry Christmas Soldier Girl!
  •
